The Egyptian Book of the Dead really isn't bad; it's actually kind of a beautiful way to show you're concerned about your relatives' well-being after death, because you'd bury it with them. And 'The Necronomicon' Necronomicon is just a book by Lovecraft written for fun. If anything, you'd probably just scare yourself reading it.

Necronomicon |
The Necronomicon originated as a fictional book in the worksof H.P. Lovecraft, and grew into an extended literary in-joke asother horror writers organically added to the Cthulhu mythos.According to Lovecraft, it was written by Abdul Alhazred, 'a mad Arab poet of the Yemen',in 950 A.D. in Damascus. In many of the stories written by Lovecraft and his successors, merely reading or possessing the Necronomicon leads to insanity...or worse.

The Necronomicon was not the only book which Lovecraft dreamed up,it is just the most famous. There is a whole list of others citedin his works, such as the Book of Eibon, the Pnakotic Manuscripts,'the Cultes des Goules of Comte d'Erlette, the Unaussprechlichen Kulten of von Junzt, and old Ludvig Prinn's hellish De Vermis Mysteriis'(Haunter of the Dark). He also threw in references to actual books and authors to blurthe distinction between reality and fiction, some of which areavailable at this site:
Hermes Trismegistus
the Turba Philosophorum
Olaus Wormius
So is the Necronomicon real? The answer may be another question entirely: real in what sense? The normative, majority opinion is that the book is entirely fictional andthat any other position is either self-delusion or prevarication. And why should we even care?It is because of the light that this issue can shed on the question ofhow the provenance of an authentic text is determined.
The provenance of a text is a set of criteria which scholars use toevaluate its authenticity.First of all, a text is usually referenced in other historic texts. For instance, the Book (possibly Books) of Enoch were mentioned in the Bible. The Gospel of Judas is mentioned in the writings of the Early ChurchFathers as a heretical text.Manuscripts of the Book of Enoch were found in Ethiopia in the 17th century, and a papyrus of the Gospel of Judas finally turned up in the 21st century. However, there is no mention of a work called the Necronomicon untilthe 20th century.Secondly, there must be a manuscript that scholars can examine openlyand subject to tests such as carbon dating and pollen analysis. No such manuscript of the Necronomicon has turned up, and until one does,it must be considered fictional.Other characteristics of an authentic text, whichthe Necronomicon fails to demonstrate, include a chain of ownership, multiple manuscripts with small variations, as well aslinguistic and other internal evidence whichplaces its composition in a specific time and place.
Some claim that a book that people wantto read will appear spontaneously. It is hard to argue with circular logic of this sort. However, perhaps this 'self-actualizing text' argument is true in one sense.Librarians have been known to insert spurious catalog entries for theNecronomicon, just for fun.And market demand has definitely produced severalNecronomicons to sate peoples' curiosity.Caveat Emptor.
As the obsession with the Necronomicon grew over the years,a number of books emerged to fill the demand, most notably theSimon Necronomicon. This purports to be a Sumerian grimoire, translated froma Greek manuscript of shady provenance.Simon has recently published a fascinating account of the publication of hisNecronomicon,Dead Names. The Chaosium Necronomiconis an anthology of fiction about the Necronomicon and several fictional Necronomicons, including a lovingly crafted pastiche by the late science fiction writer Lin Carter.A recent entry is Donald Tyson's Necronomicon, which is firmly rooted in Lovecraft's universe.Less satisfying isAl Azif, which is simplya couple of hundred pages of illegible script in an unknown language.
February 6, 2017 Considered one of the most dangerous books in the world, the Necronomicon is a literary creation that travels between the limits of the fiction and the brutal reality.
It is said that since this copy is true, people who have dared to read the Necronomicon and study the prophecies, spells, incantations and judgments contained therein have often fallen into madness or death. Following the belief that this book exists, there are those who claim that all original copies of such a title are kept under lock and key in extremely private libraries or collections.
Many readers of the Gothic novel and of terror have been excessively fascinated by this story, the one that tells the historical passage of a bibliographical example capable of linking the world we know with an earlier and supernatural one, to bring about the end of this earth as we know it.
Therefore, there are political and religious organizations behind any trace that may indicate their whereabouts. Quite strange for a book that is said to be false according to others, is not it? A sector of these consultants and stakeholders asserts that this object has never existed more than in the narrative imagination, trying to deny any data or suspicion of their whereabouts.

The scandal began with the American writer HP Lovecraft, author of several ghost stories and diabolical dye, mostly recognized for his stories about Cthulhu, but also located by the alleged creation or knowledge about “The Necronomicon.”
According to the genial mind of this man of letters, the Necronomicon does not exist on the planet Earth of truth, was invented by him and nothing else. If so, Lovecraft would be hiding a fantastic tool with enough information to reveal the horrific origins of humanity, the dark rituals practiced there and other studies of the occult.
The author repeatedly insisted that both the book and the names used in his novel are fictitious, for he himself created them. A fact that has not convinced researchers of the paranormal too much because much of what the writer portrays mysteriously coincides with other facts and assumptions of the occult.
In addition, in his biography, Lovecraft himself seems to leave the data necessary for a more complex tracing of the diabolical work. Thanks to these notes have been able to generate a map that addresses the original author of the real Necronomicon, not to the novelization of the American; Abdul Al-Hazred and other pertinent notes have been found to have been created by the astrologer Abu ‘Ali al-Hasan or by the Jewish mystic Alhazen ben Joseph.
Such demonic material to this day remains a mystery; Are supposed a thousand and one ways of how it originated in the Middle East, passing through the Greek and Latin world to be translated, managed and inherited to Modern Europe, later arriving in America and unleashing a cult both strange and dangerous.
Fanatics from all over the world have given themselves the task of investigating and searching for the aforementioned book but, if found, the details of their reading have not been revealed. It has even been the case of fakes and scams by charlatans in the network who ensure they can get copies of the official Necronomicon.
We do not know if indeed the cursed book that can guide us to destruction exists, but if in doubt, and if Lovecraft had concealed research primordial for its finding, we must take into account that on the planet there are verses with dark power To damage the mind of its reader and to attack against the whole humanity.
